Internationally renowned performer Michael Cormick will demonstrate his incredible talent and adaptability in two productions coming up as part of Geelong Performing Arts Centre’s 2019 Tuckers Musical Mornings program.
The concert series continues March 6-7 with madap production Pirates to Pinafore taking audiences on a rollicking ride through all 14 Gilbert and Sullivan musicals in one show.
Musical Mornings favourite, Cormick will join international soprano Alison Jones, Chris McKenna and star tenor Roy Best in this fast and funny production featuring hit songs and scene highlights from The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, The Gondoliers, Pirates of Penzance, Iolanthe, Patience and more.
Cormick will return to the Playhouse stage again in April, reuniting with Rachael Beck to sing popular songs and big musical hits from Chess, Les Miserables, Blood Brothers and Chicago, to name a few, with David Cameron on the piano and guitar.
Geelong Performing Arts Centre’s Chief Executive Officer Joel McGuinness says the Musical Mornings concerts continue to prove very popular with audiences.
“The quality and range of productions that we present at the centre as part of our Musical Mornings series is really quite astounding - some of Australia’s best and most-loved performers are part of the program. Plus audiences really value being able to enjoy these concerts in the comfort of a theatre setting.”
Musical Mornings concerts are sponsored by Tuckers Funeral and Bereavement Services and include free morning tea before the show.
Tickets are $22 each, available from Box Office on 5225 1200 or gpac.com.au
