Internationally renowned Australian company Circa swings into Geelong next month with its jaw-dropping new work.
Geelong is the only Victorian stop on the 2018 tour of Circa’s Peepshow - a new circus cabaret created by Yaron Lifschitz and the Circa Ensemble.
Circa’s Peepshow offers a glimpse into the world beyond the ordinary, turning cabaret on its head (literally). Explosive and lyrical, its dynamic group acrobatics, astonishing solo acts and tantalising duets lurch from the thrillingly acrobatic to the comically playful.
Theatre goers can expect teetering towers of balanced bodies, extreme bending and devilishly precarious aerials.
Circa’s Peepshow combines some of the finest acrobatic talent on the planet under the direction of circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz to create a playfully exhilarating ride into the beautifully bizarre recesses of your mind.
More than a million people have experienced the sensation that is Circa…“the rockstars of the circus world” (The List, UK). This production premieres in Lismore in March then tours to Geelong and Darwin before heading to London for three months and on to Europe for a six-month season.
Part of Geelong Performing Arts Centre’s 2018 Deakin University Theatre Season, Circa’s Peepshow runs from April 11-14. Tickets are $62 or less.
Theatre Season packages of five more shows are also available, offering significant savings on single ticket prices. For details and bookings go to gpac.org.au/2018 or ring the box office on 5225 1200.
