Healthy Arts and Healthy Minds

The VicHealth program at Geelong Performing Arts Centre has a range of activities that seek to create an awareness of the link between the Arts, mental health and well being.

As a part of the VicHealth Audience Access Scheme, Geelong Performing Arts Centre presents a wide array of events, ranging from community forums on arts and health related issues, Artist in Residence programs for primary school children, audio description services at Alcoa Theatre Season shows and a series of “Folk” multicultural Sundays. Enabling those that are rurally or socially isolated to engage with the Arts and become more socially connected.

VicHealth events at GPAC encourage activity, discussion, build confidence, and entertain.

shaken+stirred @ THE BLAKI, GPAC’s winter series of four very different shows in the intimate surrounds of the Blakiston Theatre, comes to a climax with The Burlesque Hour, a tantalising blend of circus, striptease and theatre.
Enter a world of espionage, intrigue and betrayal when Malthouse Theatre’s production of The Spook comes to Geelong Performing Arts Centre for a limited season of four performances from July 31 to August 2.
