This years splash!dance event program aims to excite and inspire dancers and dance enthusiasts of all ages and levels.

The free opening event in the GPAC foyer this year will be The Magical Dance Kingdom with dance, entertainment, music and hands-on art workshops.

The four day splash!dance Festival will provide the chance for dancers to participate in Master classes, Intensive classes, and the Kids Dance Day out program - all giving experiences in a range of dance styles. Again our 2008 list of dance instructors are highly regarded in the world of dance teaching.

We are also proud to present for the fifth year, the Australian Choreographic Competition. The 2008 competition has attracted competitors from the Asia Pacific region and from all over Australia. Again we have been able to secure some of Australia’s most knowledgeable adjudicators in Sue Healey, Cheryl Kaloger Brown and Mark Gordon. We hope you will come as audience to view and appreciate the efforts of some of Australia’s most promising choreographers. This competition will be held on Saturday, July 5th and audience bookings are now open at GPAC.

The 2008 splash!dance Festival includes the splash!dance Junior Showcase on Friday, July 4th and concludes on Sunday, July 6th with the Geelong Dance Showcase - both high energy expositions by Geelong and regional dance schools.
