The Alcoa Theatre Season 2007 is set to wind up for a big finish at GPAC with a new touring version of David Williamson’s The Club starring celebrated actor, John Wood.

A star-studded concert will help launch an exciting new partnership between Geelong Performing Arts Centre and local theatre company, Essential Theatre. In a rare public performance, Geelong band, Madhouse, will take centre stage and groove the afternoon away. In 1942, 65 Australian Army nurses were trapped in Singapore when the Japanese invaded. They were the first Australian women to serve in battle...and the first to die. The Shoe-Horn Sonata, featuring Belinda Giblin and Maggie Kirkpatrick, is a play about those women and in particular, the enduring friendship of two of them, Sheila and Bridie.
