Tuesday, November 06, 2007
After a tremendously successful 2007, with the biggest subscription numbers to date, GPAC is getting set to unveil Alcoa Theatre Season 2008, promising another varied and exhilarating line-up of world-class productions.
Full details of the shows and performers will be revealed at the official launch on Monday December 3.

GPAC General Manager Sally Beck said the new season would provide a diverse range of productions from the best companies in Australia.

‘This season’s program has a bit of everything: musicals, comedies, drama and dance. Audiences of all ages and interests will find something that will spark their imaginations. What’s more, these are all high-quality productions with some of the biggest names in Australian theatre: Geelong theatre lovers can rest assured that they can see the very best in live theatre right here without having to travel to Melbourne.’

Ms Beck said GPAC was pleased to be continuing its partnership with Alcoa as the theatre season naming rights sponsor. This formidable partnership was formally recognised with a prestigious state award in 2006 from the Australian Business Arts Foundation (ABaF).

The Alcoa Theatre Season 2008 will be unveiled in GPAC’s Ford Theatre on Monday December 3 at 6pm sharp, with light refreshments and entertainment to follow in the foyer. Entry is free; however, please RSVP by phoning 5225 1227 or email boxoffice@gpac.org.au
