Friday, May 25, 2007
International recording artist Xavier Rudd announces a very special performance to celebrate the launch of his latest and proudest release “White Moth” out June 2nd on Universal Music. Xavier gets back to his roots and the rooms that supported him in his earlier days to celebrate up close and personal with his fans at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre on June 3, a day after the release of his new album

Xavier returns home to Australia after a years worth of international touring and recording his new album co-produced by Dave Ogilive (Marylin Manson, David Bowie, N.E.R.D). Xavier garnered several overseas successes such as #1 seller at Lowlands Festival (Netherlands w/The Who/Chili Peppers) to numerous sold out venues; San Francisco’s Fillmore, New York’s Bowrey Ballrom, Montreal’s Metropolis, Amsterdam’s Melkweg to London’s notorious Shepard’s Bush Empire.

Of White Moth, Xavier says, “I think the record is just a reflection of my journey and my journey is amazing. It’s a reflection of a connection with powerful people around the world—powerful spirits—but also connections with the energy that people bring to my show. You know, I’m really lucky that I have such a good and amazing support base everywhere I go. Great people come to my gigs, and they bring beautiful energy, and that energy flows through me everywhere I go, every show I play.”
