New festival set to Bounce into Geelong!

Thursday, March 13, 2008
A new festival is set to bounce through Central Geelong and the waterfront in the March school holidays, bringing hands-on family fun and a variety of performances that will delight, entertain and amaze.
Geelong Performing Arts Centre and the City of Greater Geelong present Bounce Geelong, an exciting
six-day festival celebrating circus, street performance and physical theatre.

The free public program incorporates the much-loved Buskers By The Bay and Circus Bites events, and the best part of it is that many of the activities are FREE!

How to get involved

Run away to the Circus School for four days of intensive training. Dive into the ring for an exciting experience right in the centre of Geelong.

Watch circus acts daily in Lt. Malop St for free and stay around for workshops where you can try a variety of skills.

Sit back at Beav’s Bar with a cool drink and partake in a salon where the tricks and secrets of circus will be revealed over two nights.

Delve into the lanes around Lt. Malop St where you’ll find circus, busking and sideshow acts appearing in front of you, behind you or overhead.

Bring a picnic down to Eastern Beach for a weekend of free family entertainment. Watch buskers perform throughout the day and stay for a night of entertainment on the beach.

Enjoy a fire show on the Saturday night while Sunday’s action will culminate in a rough and tumble hip hop rumble.
