Alcoa Studio 1

In the original church building is a large room, primarily used as a dance rehearsal space that is also suitable for weddings, parties, launches , etc. The studio is 20.5m x 10m with a sprung floor, mirrors, a small stage, an upright piano and 3-phase power.

 


 

 

Alcoa Studio 2

Also upstairs in the original mechanics building is another dance studio, more commonly known as the Ballet Studio. This room is 15m x 9m with a sprung floor, mirrors, ballet bars & an upright piano.

Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra - 'Greatest Hits' - Formed in 2000 as a quartet, five years ago the Raga Dolls grew into the salon orchestra of today. The Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra is a unique group of 14 musicians modeled on the small scale working orchestras that plied their trade in the early part of the 20th century.

Building Ensemble Performance - Get your ensemble into gear with this very practical workshop. Invaluable for students studying Unit 3 VCE Drama but suitable for students in years 10 and 11 as well, the workshop uses a range of stimulus material to generate ideas for making theatre. The workshop will also incorporate non-naturalistic theatre conventions, adopting them as building blocks for devising group performance.

ALCOA THEATRE SEASON 2010

Alcoa Theatre Season 2010 heralds another year of great entertainment packed with toe-tapping music, hilarious comedy and sizzling performances.

The spotlight will shine on an endless parade of top-shelf performers including veteran actors/comics Max Gillies and Garry McDonald, chanteuses Christine Anu and Casey Donovan, and even Australia's greatest magician James Galea - in a stylish, astonishing and celebratory collection of shows.
