A world of fun for kids in Little Big Shots
The Little Big Shots International Children’s Film Festival - Australia's major annual and travelling children's film festival - is on the road again, arriving at GPAC as part of the 2010 Bendigo Bank Family Magic program on Saturday September 4.

Ushers/Stage Door Attendants (casual)

GPAC is seeking suitably experienced people to join our team.

If you enjoy working in a busy environment, love dealing with customers, which may mean hirers or patrons, and have the skills we are looking for we would love to hear from you.
For all positions there are no guaranteed weekly minimum hours. Hours of work offered will vary according to activity levels.

Successful applicants for all positions will be able to demonstrate:

  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Understanding of safe work practices

We would like to expand our pool of staff to include people willing to work as both ushers and stage door attendants. Existing staff who are interested in being considered for this pool are encouraged to apply. For example if you are currently employed as an usher you may be interested in being considered for the role of stage door attendant and vice versa.

In ushers we look for the ability to:
• Make patrons feel welcomed and relaxed in our theatres
• Understand and implement emergency procedures when required
Duties include:
• Seating patrons
• Selling programs and merchandise
• Cash handling and balancing proceeds
• Resolving customer difficulties and complaints

In stage door attendants we look for the ability to:
• Take charge and ensure that only authorised people enter backstage
• Make visitors feel welcomed and relaxed in backstage areas
• Ensure that the rules of backstage are complied with at all times
• Understand and implement emergency procedures when required

Terms and conditions are in accordance with the GPAC Enterprise Agreement. GPAC is an equal opportunity employer and operates a smoke free venue.
