Theatre Technicians

Part-time and casual positions
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate all or some of the following attributes:
• Ex
cellent communication and problem solving skills
• Strong w
ork ethic and the ability to work autonomously
• Experience wi
th entertainment industry equipment
• Knowledge of sa
fe working procedures within the entertainment industry

Formal 
qualifications (ie Certificates in Entertainment) would be highly regarded however not essential.

General Maintenance
12 month fixed term position - 15 hours minimum per week

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
• Ability to carry out ge
neral building repairs and  maintenance

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously
• Effective communication with co-workers and contractors
• Know
ledge of safe work procedures and occupational health and safety standards

Form
al qualifications in OH&S or a trade would be highly regarded however not essential.

Terms and conditions are in accordance with the GPAC Enterprise Agreement.

Building Ensemble Performance - Get your ensemble into gear with this very practical workshop. Invaluable for students studying Unit 3 VCE Drama but suitable for students in years 10 and 11 as well, the workshop uses a range of stimulus material to generate ideas for making theatre. The workshop will also incorporate non-naturalistic theatre conventions, adopting them as building blocks for devising group performance.

Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra - 'Greatest Hits' - Formed in 2000 as a quartet, five years ago the Raga Dolls grew into the salon orchestra of today. The Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra is a unique group of 14 musicians modeled on the small scale working orchestras that plied their trade in the early part of the 20th century.

ALCOA THEATRE SEASON 2010

Alcoa Theatre Season 2010 heralds another year of great entertainment packed with toe-tapping music, hilarious comedy and sizzling performances.

The spotlight will shine on an endless parade of top-shelf performers including veteran actors/comics Max Gillies and Garry McDonald, chanteuses Christine Anu and Casey Donovan, and even Australia's greatest magician James Galea - in a stylish, astonishing and celebratory collection of shows.
