Welcome to the 2012 Theatre Season ADVANCE BOOKING Service

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE AND PRIDE THAT WE BRING YOU DETAILS OF GPAC'S 2012 ALCOA THEATRE SEASON IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DEAKIN UNIVERSITY.

Each year as we look across the country to find the best productions - diversity, quality, great storytelling, light and shade are always on our minds.

Each year, as the juggling of artists, theatres and dollars shapes the season, one question we always ask ourselves: is this the most fantastic season yet?

From my point of view I believe the nine productions that make up the 2012 season may quite possibly be just that.

We will be off to an exceptional start, celebrating 200 years of Charles Dickens, with the magnificent award winning Miriam Margolyes, portraying 23 of his finest characters in Dickens' Women. She will leave you spellbound.

Then you will witness the remarkable Helen Morse explore the mystery of memory in Sundowner. Her performance will tear at your heart.

Colin Friels is also joining us to lead the cast in a modern classic, Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman - a Victorian exclusive! Our finest performers in this classic of our times from one of our most acclaimed theatre companies, Belvoir.

And we look forward to an amazing finale with Rachael Beck and Jessica Rowe celebrating one of the world's greatest music theatre artists in Side By Side By Sondheim.

And so much more: this fantastic season of wonderful performers and storytelling, from family relationships to office culture and romance, is hard to beat.
But you be the judge.

We are giving you the opportunity to be uplifted, challenged and to laugh and cry, so make sure you do not miss one of these truly fantastic productions.

General Manager
