Parcell Productions presents

Spring Awakening

Set in late 19th century, SPRING AWAKENING tells the story of a group of teenagers as they come to discover the inner and outer tumult of sexuality. The music will take you on a journey using rock and folk ballads, as the characters lay before you a tale of heartbreak, love, loss and hope.

A musical adaptation of the controversial 1891 German play, of the same name, by Frank Wedekind. The play was banned for some time due to its depictions of sexuality, child abuse and suicide. The musical, 116 years later, won eight Tony Awards in 2007 and went on to launch the careers of Glee's Lea Michelle and Jonathan Groff.

This muscial has captivated audiences across the globe and has been described as "bold funny, and inviting" (New York Times).

Parcell Productions is proud to bring the musical to Geelong and hopes you receive the show with as much excitement as the rest of the world.
