Leura Park Estate and Essential Theatre presents

Shakespeare in the Vines - Romeo & Juliet

The tale...
Within the grounds of Leura Park Estate, Essential Theatre will transform the vineyard’s surrounds to the streets of Verona where cupid’s arrow flies high and blood spills through family rivalry and war.  The warring story of the Montagues and the Capulets has been told for centuries and yet, never tires.  Its resonating themes of undenying love, jealousy, fate, family greed and power still ripple through the contemporary crowds.  Delight in the humorous nature of the nurse, revel in the mischief of Mercutio or be taken away with the bond of passion between the lovers, Romeo and Juliet.

The show...
On Saturday 12th February 2011 make your next Valentine’s Day memorable!  Take your place amongst the vines for the show to commence at 6.30pm at Leura Park Estate. Guests are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy a glass (or two) of our fabulous wines, as this epic tale unfolds.  Complete your evening and complement your wine with a delicious hamper of goodies.  Beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee will also be available to purchase.  At the end of the show, the cast will mingle with the guests and be available to discuss the production.
