Off-beat story of dance and romance in Syncopation
A smash-hit fusion of comedy, drama, romance and ballroom dancing, Syncopation is the next sensational production in GPAC's 2012 Alcoa Theatre Season in partnership with Deakin University.This heart-warming production is choreographed by Dancing with the Stars' Mark Hodge, under the direction of Broadway's Tony Award-nominated Stephen Lloyd Helper.

Children’s classic comes to life on stage for a new generation
Young audiences are invited to enter the fantastic world of Beatrix Potter with Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit, marking 110 years of the popular children's character. Presented as part of GPAC's Family Magic program, this mischievous new musical from the producers of Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch will delight all ages.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival presents

Raw Comedy 2011

Come and watch a heat!  

Every year, Australia's biggest open mic competition, Melbourne International Comedy Festival's RAW Comedy, sees fledgling comedians sweat it out in heats nationwide. Amid the tears (of laughter), the tragedy and triumphs, only one newcomer can emerge as champion, and pocket the prize of a trip to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Heats take place nationwide, with a Qualifying Heat at Geelong Performing Arts Centre on 12 February at 7.30pm with MC Lehmo from Channel 10's Before The Game.

Previous winners and finalists have included Josh Thomas, Hannah Gadsby and Tim Minchin. Come and see the comedy stars of the future now, so you can say you saw them first!
