Off-beat story of dance and romance in Syncopation
A smash-hit fusion of comedy, drama, romance and ballroom dancing, Syncopation is the next sensational production in GPAC's 2012 Alcoa Theatre Season in partnership with Deakin University.This heart-warming production is choreographed by Dancing with the Stars' Mark Hodge, under the direction of Broadway's Tony Award-nominated Stephen Lloyd Helper.

Children’s classic comes to life on stage for a new generation
Young audiences are invited to enter the fantastic world of Beatrix Potter with Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit, marking 110 years of the popular children's character. Presented as part of GPAC's Family Magic program, this mischievous new musical from the producers of Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch will delight all ages.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival presents

RAW Comedy 2012

RAW Comedy is Australia's biggest and most prestigious open mic comedy competition. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has been producing it since 1996, and past RAW Comedy winners and finalists include Chris Lilley, Josh Thomas, Hannah Gadsby, Peter Helliar, Claire Hooper, Michael Workman, Mike McLeish (Keating! The Musical) and Tim Minchin.

Hosting the event will be Josh Earl - the hip, smart, loveable comedian known for his solo shows including Josh Earl is a Librarian, which toured through Adelaide and Melbourne, and Josh Earl vs The Australian Women's Weekly Cake Book, which toured through Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne. He is also a regular performer on radio and television around Australia.

The ultimate RAW Comedy National Champion jets off to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe - the world's largest and most awesome annual comedy fun time to compete in So You Think You're Funny?
