GPAC named best presenter at annual conference
Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) has been named Australia's best venue for touring performances. The centre was presented with the Australian Performing Arts Centres Association (APACA) Drover Award for Best Presenter at the association's annual conference in Perth.

Piano Duo Igor Machlak & Olga Kharitonova In Concert


A program of solos and duos including music by Schumann, Brahms and Stravinsky

Australia's leading Piano Duo Igor Machlak and Olga Kharitonova will perform in a dazzling concert featuring highlights from the piano duo repertoire.

Russian-born Igor Machlak and Olga Kharitonova graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with first class honours as solo pianists.

They formed a piano duo, won many prizes at international competitions and toured Europe and Japan. Since coming to Australia in 1995, they have continued to develop their careers as performers and teachers. They are currently members of the Faculty of Music at University of Melbourne, and perform and broadcast regularly. In 2009, they performed the Mozart Concerto for two pianos with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and in 2010 will tour China and Russia.
