GPAC named best presenter at annual conference
Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) has been named Australia's best venue for touring performances. The centre was presented with the Australian Performing Arts Centres Association (APACA) Drover Award for Best Presenter at the association's annual conference in Perth.

The MCO returns to Geelong in 2010 following the sensational success of their first series at the new Melbourne Recital Centre and their two Victorian regional tours.

The concert will be the culmination of the Geelong Advanced String Players Workshop conducted by William Hennessy and will feature an item in which the selected students will play alongside their mentors in the orchestra.

This show is a concert tribute to the career of June Bronhill, from her early days in Broken Hill (hence Bronhill) to her stellar career in Europe, UK and Australia.

Music In The Gardens 2012 - Hip Cats - The Hip Cats focus on American 50′s rock music culture from grassroots rockabilly to popular 50′s, through to the smoother crossovers of swing and R&B. The band is four piece with guitar, double bass, drums, sax/harmonica, with all the ‘cats’ singing.
