John Rowles - The Final Bow Farewell Tour
In 1964 a young 'Maori Boy' from New Zealand arrived in Melbourne to perform on the Millers Circuit in various show-bands. By 1966, "JA-AR" (aka John Rowles) was a regular on TV programmes like The Johnny O'Keefe Show and Bandstand.
It was however at the Coogee Bay Hotel in 1967 where a chance meeting with Peter Gormley, the Australian born manager of Cliff Richard and The Shadows, set John Rowles on the road to London and superstardom.
Now on his 65th Birthday in March 2012, Rowles returns to Australia to where his journey in the Music Business began for a farewell tour, entitled 'Now is the hour - The Final Bow'.
