Geelong Repertory Theatre Company presents

I Do Not Like Thee Dr Fell

by Bernard Farrell; directed by Colin Urquhart

Twenty years before Dr Phil, an encounter group is locked in a bare room to embark on a journey of self-discovery through fearless, honest confrontation and group hugs.

Susan, caring and non-judgemental, is their facilitator. Peter and Maureen are married with "issues", including no issue. Roger is an encounter group junky, fluent in French, Latin and Psychobabble. Rita is probably a widowed cat lover. And then there's Joe Fell. Insightful genius? Lost soul? Joker? Saboteur?

Irish Playwright, Bernard Farrell, wrote this parody of American group psychotherapy in 1979 then left his job with Sealink, never to return. Instead he has become a fixture at Dublin's Abbey Theatre as well as the equally famous Gate Theatre, writing at least 22 plays.
