Off-beat story of dance and romance in Syncopation
A smash-hit fusion of comedy, drama, romance and ballroom dancing, Syncopation is the next sensational production in GPAC's 2012 Alcoa Theatre Season in partnership with Deakin University.This heart-warming production is choreographed by Dancing with the Stars' Mark Hodge, under the direction of Broadway's Tony Award-nominated Stephen Lloyd Helper.

Children’s classic comes to life on stage for a new generation
Young audiences are invited to enter the fantastic world of Beatrix Potter with Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit, marking 110 years of the popular children's character. Presented as part of GPAC's Family Magic program, this mischievous new musical from the producers of Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch will delight all ages.

Geelong Flood Relief Variety Gala

LOCAL PERFORMERS ON SONG TO HELP THE VICTORIAN FLOOD VICTIMS

On the 26th February 2011 the always-active Geelong performing arts community will rally together in a night of entertainment to benefit the victims of the recent Victorian floods.

The show will start at 7:30pm and will feature performances from such local talent as Jamie McGuane (Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music), Shandelle Cooke (having recently returned from performing all over the world), Chaise Rossiello and his friends from the Hoof Beats, Jennifer Stirk, Sophie Collins, Lachy Joyce, Parallax Dance , Kylie J Pole Studio and many more.

The Geelong Performing Arts Centre has kindly donated the Drama Studio for the night and all performers are donating their time. Anyone else willing to donate time, equipment, prizes or a monetary donation may contact Jennifer Stirk on 0408 325 144.

All proceeds from the event will directly benefit those affected by the recent floods in Victoria through the Victorian Red Cross Flood Appeal. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased from the GPAC Box Office on (03) 5225 1200.
