DeepBlue - The Dream

If you haven't seen deepblue before, you had better strap yourself in for a totally new experience. This is entertainment like you have never seen, felt or heard before.

The new show the dream follows the young musician's journey, and explores the fine line between dreams, nightmares and reality... It is a perfect combination of multi-media, film, music, rock, electronics and classical.

deepblue takes you on an spectacular musical journey that will galvanise your senses with an astounding visual and aural feast. Nothing is off limits and you can even shape the show as it goes. The performers ask you to leave your phone ON so you can SMS them during the show, make requests, give ideas and share your dreams.

deepblue has many different moods; we play everything from Barber, to Bowie to Bollywood.

deepblue are offering their youngblue programs in conjunction with this performance. youngblue is where local musicians are given the opportunity to perform on stage with the group during the concert, this has proven an inspiring and entertaining experience for all involved. The group also conducts one hour music and movement workshops that, for the last 4 years encouraged young string players from around the country to approach the performance of their music in a totally new way.

The deepblue show is all about the audience and this philosophy was proven at last year's Australian Performing Arts Centre Association's (APACA) wining the national peoples choice award (2009 APACA Drover Award for 'Excellent Audience Response' ) and rave reviews across the country.

"These infectious players plug the orchestra back in... ...it's an interactive multi-media experience... ...It's the most fun you'll have with an orchestra..."
Jason Whittaker - Australian Stage Online Oct 2009

"Deepblue looks like an orchestra, but it plays with fire, shares with joy, and dances with electricity. When it comes your way, pay attention." John P. Harvey. Stage Whispers August 2010

"...Innovative and dynamic, deep blue are like travelling minstrels, moving through the crowd; strumming, plucking and chatting, engaging on all levels..." Marika Bryant Artshub May 2009
