Daisy is a wife and mother.
Daisy has a problem and a story to tell.

Geelong playwright Terry Mervin tackles the sometimes complex subject of dementia in his new work Daisy, which will premier at Geelong's Woodbin Theatre in May.

Daisy sensitively and sometimes humorously addresses many of the associated practical and emotional issues confronting couples, families and the community, through the journey of a cast of nine, including Daisy, her husband Jim, daughter Petra and son Will.

"Ultimately, Daisy is a love story about a family working together to get through some big changes in their life," Terry said.

Terry's other plays include: Captive, A Dream Come True, and the musical I Can Read a Map.

Director, Wolf Heidecker, has spent some 35 years heavily involved in theatre both in Australia and Europe - and his credits are many. During 2010 he produced and/or directed three successful plays at La Mama Theatre in Melbourne: Norm and Ahmed by Alex Buzo, Silence by Hoa Pham, and most recently, the sell out Foxholes of the Mind - by local playwright Bernard Clancy.
