Off-beat story of dance and romance in Syncopation
A smash-hit fusion of comedy, drama, romance and ballroom dancing, Syncopation is the next sensational production in GPAC's 2012 Alcoa Theatre Season in partnership with Deakin University.This heart-warming production is choreographed by Dancing with the Stars' Mark Hodge, under the direction of Broadway's Tony Award-nominated Stephen Lloyd Helper.

Children’s classic comes to life on stage for a new generation
Young audiences are invited to enter the fantastic world of Beatrix Potter with Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit, marking 110 years of the popular children's character. Presented as part of GPAC's Family Magic program, this mischievous new musical from the producers of Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch will delight all ages.

Welcome to the 15th Annual Bethany Arthouse Film Festival

In 2012 we are pleased to bring you once again 5 quality productions to celebrate 15 years of the Bethany Arthouse Film Festival.

The Bethany Arthouse Film Festival is our major fundraiser for the year, and has in the past raised vital funds for a variety of programs offered to the community through Bethany Community Support.

We hope you enjoy this year's program and thank you all for supporting our work in the community through your attendance and purchase of tickets.

WHAT'S ON

Syncopation - Henry Ribolow is a Jewish meatpacker obsessed with becoming a ballroom dancer and is desperately seeking a dance partner. Anna Bianchi, an Italian Catholic seamstress, is unsatisfied with her life until she spots a curious ad in the paper: “Give your life a lift. Wanted: A dance partner to dance for royalty.”
