Side By Side By Sondheim

Side By Side By Sondheim is a celebration of the most acclaimed composer on Broadway, Stephen Sondheim. This inspired production celebrates legendary Sondheim musicals from the early part of his career, such as West Side Story, Gypsy, Company and A Little Night Music, and features all-time theatre greats including Losing My Mind, I'm Still Here, Being Alive and Send In The Clowns.

Performing these wonderful songs are three of Australia's leading musical theatre stars: Rachael Beck (Beauty and the Beast), Margi de Ferranti (Mamma Mia) and Enda Markey (Follies). Narration is by Jessica Rowe, who explores the themes in Sondheim's work, with more than a few entertaining anecdotes about his incredible talent.

The original production of Side By Side By Sondheim premiered in London in 1976 to overwhelming success and went on to run for another four years. To this day, it remains one of Sondheim's most performed shows.
