Off-beat story of dance and romance in Syncopation
A smash-hit fusion of comedy, drama, romance and ballroom dancing, Syncopation is the next sensational production in GPAC's 2012 Alcoa Theatre Season in partnership with Deakin University.This heart-warming production is choreographed by Dancing with the Stars' Mark Hodge, under the direction of Broadway's Tony Award-nominated Stephen Lloyd Helper.

Young audiences are invited to enter the fantastic world of Beatrix Potter with Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit, marking 110 years of the popular children's character. Presented as part of GPAC's Family Magic program, this mischievous new musical from the producers of Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch will delight all ages.

To make a booking over the phone, please have your credit card ready (charges apply).

 

Concessions
Concession prices are available on most of our shows. If you are a senior, pensioner, full-time student or unemployed, please ask the Box Office about a concession price when booking your tickets.

 

GST
Please note that all prices are inclusive of GST where applicable.

 

Parking
Metered street parking is available around Geelong Performing Arts Centre.

 

Ticket Exchanges
GPAC has No Exchange, No Refund policy on tickets once they are sold. Subscribers to our Subscription Season may exchange their tickets to another performance of the same play by returning their tickets to the Box Office at least 24 hours prior to the performance stated on their tickets (subject to availability).

 

Ticketek
GPAC is the only outlet for Ticketek in Geelong. For tickets to the latest concerts and sporting events visit our box office.

Counter bookings only - EFTPOS + Cheques - Not accepted.

Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Both the Ford and Blakiston theatres are fitted with a hearing loop covering a large section of seating. To utilise the loop hearing aids must have a "T" switch.

 

Wheelchair Access / Mobility difficulties
GPAC features courtesy wheelchair accessible parking, entrances, seating & toilets. Wheelchair access is available in both our theatres. Disabled access to the Geelong Performing Arts Centre is via the little Malop Street entrance.
Please note: GPAC staff are unable to assist with transferring or pushing wheelchair bound customers

Creeping slowly through the national airwaves, discovered by music lovers and settling itself in minds across the country, 'Mexican Mavis' was an accidental statement of intent.

Syncopation - Henry Ribolow is a Jewish meatpacker obsessed with becoming a ballroom dancer and is desperately seeking a dance partner. Anna Bianchi, an Italian Catholic seamstress, is unsatisfied with her life until she spots a curious ad in the paper: “Give your life a lift. Wanted: A dance partner to dance for royalty.”
