GPAC named best presenter at annual conference
Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) has been named Australia's best venue for touring performances. The centre was presented with the Australian Performing Arts Centres Association (APACA) Drover Award for Best Presenter at the association's annual conference in Perth.

Assistant Accountant

Part-time - 18-22 hours per week


Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) operates two theatres, a concert hall, studios, box office and catering facilities and is one the busiest regional arts centres in Australia.

This position has a varied range of duties including:
• Show settlements
• Payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
• Assisting with month end financial reporting
• Assisting with the finance and human resources projects

You will be a skilled, experienced and self motivated person with equal ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small finance team. Bookkeeping experience using accounting software packages is essential. Attache experience would be well regarded. Payroll experience is highly desirable. Applicants without payroll experience must be willing to undergo training to develop the necessary level of competence.

This is a part time position at 18-22 hours per week, depending on skills and experience.

Music In The Gardens 2012 - Hip Cats - The Hip Cats focus on American 50′s rock music culture from grassroots rockabilly to popular 50′s, through to the smoother crossovers of swing and R&B. The band is four piece with guitar, double bass, drums, sax/harmonica, with all the ‘cats’ singing.
